Giny Lebron and John Sublett: A Jayco Family of Companies Pathfinder Embracing the RV Lifestyle

A Lifelong Passion for RVing

RVing has always been an integral part of Giny and John’s lives. From childhood road trips with their families to dreaming about owning their own RV, the idea of life on the road was always a "someday" plan. Eventually, they realized that if they didn't take the first step, they'd always be waiting. Now, as proud owners of a Jayco Eagle Fifth Wheel 317RLOK, they embrace the RV lifestyle and all the adventures that come with it.

The Freedom of RV Travel

For Giny and John, traditional travel came with too many hassles—flights, car rentals, expensive hotels, and overcrowded tourist spots. Delayed or canceled flights became an all-too-common frustration. With their RV, they have the freedom to travel on their terms, making every trip a unique and stress-free experience.

Though they still work in-person jobs and RV part-time, they maximize their time on the road whenever possible. Summer, winter, and spring breaks allow for cross-country adventures to national parks, coastal routes, and the mountains. Long weekends are perfect for quick getaways to nearby lakes, small towns, and historical sites. Whether unwinding in a peaceful location or immersing themselves in outdoor activities like hiking, boating, and fishing, they make the most of every trip.

Unexpected Perks of RV Life

While they expected to enjoy their travels, Giny and John were pleasantly surprised by the deeper benefits of RVing. The lifestyle has given them a stronger connection to nature, allowing them to witness breathtaking sunsets, sleep under starry skies, and wake up to stunning sunrises.

Their health has also improved through increased outdoor activity and fresh air. Additionally, traveling as a team has strengthened their communication and problem-solving skills. Most importantly, RVing has allowed them to build friendships with people from all walks of life, reinforcing the idea that life is about adventure and meaningful connections rather than material possessions.

The Most Breathtaking Destination—So Far!

Out of all the places they’ve visited, the Grand Canyon has been the most awe-inspiring. Experiencing its vastness and beauty firsthand, they finally understood why so many people describe it as breathtaking. But they’re far from done exploring—their bucket list includes traveling from coast to coast, visiting Alaska, Mexico, and maybe even Costa Rica! The beauty of RVing is the flexibility to travel at their own pace, without the pressure of strict timelines.

The Joy of the Journey

For Giny and John, the best RV days are not just about the destinations, but about the little moments along the way. A slow morning with no alarms. A scenic drive with perfect weather, great music, and light traffic. A spontaneous stop at a charming small town or a quirky roadside attraction. The feeling of complete freedom, disconnected from stress, and fully present in the moment. These are the experiences that make RVing truly special.

Planning vs. Spontaneity

While some RVers embrace a completely unplanned lifestyle, Giny and John currently follow a structured travel schedule due to work commitments. They plan trips well in advance, ensuring they maximize every school break and holiday. However, they look forward to the day they can hit the road full-time with the freedom to choose destinations on a whim.

To keep track of their travels, they use a mix of digital apps for trip planning, budgeting spreadsheets, travel journals for handwritten memories, and a wall map with stickers to mark each new adventure. They also document their journeys on social media to share experiences with friends, family, and fellow RVers.

Advice for Aspiring RVers

For those considering RV life but feeling hesitant, Giny and John offer this advice: start small. Rent an RV for a short trip, research different rigs, and test what fits your needs. The transition doesn’t have to be immediate—RVing can be part-time, seasonal, or full-time depending on what works best for you.

If you're worried about the challenges, remember that every RVer was a beginner once. There’s a learning curve, but with time, you’ll develop the skills needed to navigate the lifestyle. Life is too short to keep waiting for the perfect moment—just start, and you'll discover a world of adventure and freedom.

The Road Ahead

Giny and John initially planned to wait until retirement to purchase their RV, but they decided to start early and avoid the constraints of a 9-to-5 grind. Now, they get to experience diverse landscapes, cultures, and cuisines while spending quality time together.

Every trip starts with thorough preparation, including checklists for clothing, groceries, and supplies. Maintaining their RV and following a regular maintenance schedule helps avoid costly mistakes and ensures smooth travels. Investing in high-quality essentials and a reliable internet setup is also a must for staying connected on the road.

For anyone considering an RV purchase, do your research, test different options, and get a third-party inspection before finalizing the deal. Talking to experienced RV owners and joining online communities can also provide valuable insights.

Looking to the Future

While they enjoy their part-time RV lifestyle now, Giny and John’s ultimate goal is to become full-time RVers, embracing the freedom of the open road without any time constraints. For now, they’ll continue exploring every opportunity they get, making memories along the way.

Because in the end, it's not just about the destinations—it’s about the journey, the experiences, and the people you meet along the way.
