MIDDLEBURY, Ind. – For 2014, Jayco is introducing an A-frame, hardwall addition to the 2014 Jayco Camping Trailers. This all-new Jay Series Sport model joins Jayco's already solid camping trailer lineup, known for its renowned durability and easy-setup design. Built for a lifetime of fun, these camping trailers are packed with high-quality, low-maintenance features that are backed with five lifetime component warranties and an industry-best, two-year limited warranty.
The Jay Series Sport Hardwall combines vacuum-bonded walls with its revolutionary two-piece hardwall roof to create an A-frame design. One person can set up and tear down the unit in 1 minute, while the two-piece roof folds down for a travel-friendly design. The roof features three skylights and a power fan option. An 18,000-BTU Cool Cat Heat Pump is standard in this entry-level camping trailer, while a 16,000-BTU furnace option is available. On the outside, the Jay Series Sport Hardwall features electric brakes, aluminum rims and a cargo deck.
The Hardwall joins three other camping trailer series — the affordable Jay Series Sport, the popular Jay Series and the rugged Baja. With a variety of floorplans to choose from, ranging in 11- to 22-foot lengths, each series can sleep up to eight thanks to 1,050-lb. rated bunk ends. These bunk ends, along with the lifter system, floor, roof and frame, boast the Jayco lifetime warranties for the ultimate in reliability.
Today, these camping trailers still use the innovative, patented lifter system that Jayco founder Lloyd Bontrager designed 45 years ago. This advanced, one-of-a-kind system is fully enclosed (n/a Sport) to protect against debris, while each tent end sports water-repellent DuraTek tent material. This material is built to resist mildew, mold, scratches and cracks and comes with a 5-year warranty.
The entry-level Jay Series Sport was introduced in 2010 and continues to be an affordable option for families new to camping. Available in six floorplans, the Sport has a sleeping arrangement for families of all sizes thanks to dual bunk ends, convertible dinettes and gaucho sofa sleepers. For 2014, this series features an optional Deluxe Plumbing Package including a six-gallon water heater and outside shower.
Meanwhile, Jay Series continues to be a leading fold-down favorite with five floorplan options, full-featured kitchen, a king-sized bunk end and a stainless-steel, carry-out stove. A convenient stepper door was added in 2014, doubling as an entry door and swing-down step for increased ground clearance during travel.
The off-road Baja is built for adventure, packing a hard-core utility deck, 15" Dunlop Mud Rover tires and power roof lift in two feature-filled floorplans. The deck, rated for 1,500 lbs., can hold up to six bicycles, three dirt bikes or an ATV. On the outside, Baja is ready for the rugged; on the inside, it pampers you with every comfort, from a king-sized tent to standard water filtration.
For nearly a decade, Jayco has offered its industry-leading, two-year Co-Pilot Limited Warranty — the most comprehensive warranty in the industry. This no strings attached warranty is not an extended dealer warranty; it's a manufacturer's warranty that comes from the people who build Jayco RVs. Each Jayco is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. It's one of the many ways Jayco provides peace of mind (and more fun) to its customers.
