MIDDLEBURY, Ind. – The best toys deliver the most fun, which is why the 2016 Jayco Octane toy hauler packs a radical list of amenities, making this Jayco's most versatile travel trailer. By day, Octane is a toy-hauling wonder. By night, it's the ultimate haven.
Octane is available in two lineups, the towable Octane Super Lite and the spacious Octane. Ranging in lengths from 20 to 34 feet, Octane Super Lite features flexible floor plans that double as a spacious garage and a feature-filled living area. The newest addition to the lineup is the 272, a hybrid floor plan that combines a toy hauler with a bunkhouse travel trailer. This model can sleep up to eight, if ordered with the optional rear electric queen bed. New exterior enhancements for 2016 include a new premium graphics package, matching Aztec Grey fiberglass front wrap and rear ramp door, new heavy-duty axles with Super Lube hubs and self-adjusting brakes, solar and backup camera prep and a new optional power tongue jack. Interior upgrades include stainless-steel appliances, Bourbon Chocolate cabinetry, residential plank wood-grain-style linoleum and a new high-output stereo with DVD/CD/USB with two interior and two exterior speakers.
The Super Lite's counterpart — the 2016 Octane — is built for big adventures. The newest floor plan, the T30F, features a kitchen slideout with L-shaped countertop. Octane’s standard fiberglass sidewalls, vacuum-bonded garage floor, MOR/ryde CRE3000 rubber axle equalizer and electric tongue jack make this a rugged toy hauler. A variety of sleeping options, like a queen bed, retractable electric bunks, and fold-away dinette and sleeper sofa, ensure customers can play hard and rest even better.
Both lineups feature a well-equipped cargo area, complete with floor-mounted tie-down D-rings, an integrated spring-assist ramp door, non-skid flooring, a 94-inch wide ramp door opening and a 2,500-lb. ramp door carrying capacity. Customers can power up with Octane's optional 24-gallon fuel station and 4,000-watt generator.
And because durability is a priority for the rugged Octane, super craftsmanship starts at the top with the Jayco-exclusive Magnum Truss Roof System. In a side-by-side test, this advanced roof system was 50 percent stronger than other industry roofs. Other standard construction features include an I-Class structural steel I-beam frame, an integrated A-frame and galvanized drive-on steel wheel wells.
Like all Jayco products, Octane is backed by an industry-leading, two-year limited warranty — the most comprehensive warranty in the industry. This no-strings-attached warranty is not an extended dealer warranty; it's a manufacturer's warranty that comes from the people who build Jayco RVs. Each Jayco is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. It's one of the many ways Jayco provides peace of mind (and more fun) to its customers.
