MIDDLEBURY, IN. – Customer-friendly price and features define Jayco’s 2016 Precept Class A motorhome. Since its introduction in early 2013, the economically-priced, gasoline-powered Precept has quickly become a consumer favorite.
Available in five floorplans in lengths from 32-feet to 36-feet, there are plenty of options for every family size. The 29UR features a queen bed in the rear and a set of bunk beds for extra sleeping space, while the 35S features a queen bed in the rear and a large spacious kitchen and living area for the ultimate in entertaining space.
No detail is overlooked in the 2016 Precept. Featuring several “must-haves” for comfortable cross-country travel, including 6-way-powered swivel driver and passenger seats, ergonomically-designed vinyl-wrapped cockpit dash with wood grain accents, a passenger computer work station, large pass-through exterior storage compartments, hydraulic leveling jacks, an Onan® 5,500-watt Micro Quiet generator with 50-amp service and an exterior entertainment center with a built-in 40-inch LED TV.
In addition, the Precept boasts Jayco’s exclusive JRIDE Plus ride and handling package, which features a computer-balanced driveshaft, Bilstein shock absorbers, front and rear stabilizer bars plus an additional rear stabilizer bar, and jounce bumpers. This suspension system is designed to make the Precept the quietest riding, best-handling, gasoline-powered Class A on the market today.
Design choices are yours with three interior decors, two exterior graphics packages and two Premium Paint Package options to choose from. In addition, the Precept features tastefully decorated spacious interior layouts, as well as high-end amenities that give it a sense of luxury and provide the everyday conveniences and comforts of home. Standard features include LED lighting throughout, oversized bathrooms with extra-large showers, solid-surface countertops and honey cherry residential cabinetry. The kitchen makes cooking for the family a breeze with a three-burner range with 9,000-BTU SuperBurner and piezo ignitor, a full-size convection microwave oven, an 8-cu. ft. refrigerator and a sliding countertop extension for added counter space. For additional sleeping, a popular option is the mechanical queen bed bunk over the cab that supports up to 750 pounds.
Designed for the journey, the Jayco Precept is built on the Ford F53, 18K or 22K chassis, which boasts a powerful 6.8L Triton V-10 engine with a 6-speed TorqShift automatic overdrive transmission. Attention to the journey continues with an ergonomic, low-profile dash and the industry’s largest front windshield. In addition, its excellent turning radius, cruise control and antilock front and rear disc brakes make the Precept the ultimate in drivability.
Luxurious standards don’t stop there. The Customer Value Package includes items such as back-up and side-view cameras with monitor, frameless windows, slideout cover awnings, an electric patio awning with LED lights, 50-amp electrical service, a 4K LED living room TV, day/night solar shades throughout, and a Girard tank-less water heater.
These top-quality materials, paired with the latest-construction advancements, allow Jayco to back the Precept with an industry-leading, 2-year limited warranty — the most comprehensive warranty in the industry. This no-strings-attached warranty is not an extended dealer warranty; it's a manufacturer's warranty that comes from the people who build Jayco RVs. It's one of the many ways Jayco provides peace of mind (and more fun) to its customers.
