MIDDLEBURY, IN – Jayco, the world’s largest privately-held RV manufacturer, has broken ground on a building project to add 36,000 square feet to its parts warehouse area of its customer service department.
“We’ve seen significant growth across all of our divisions and were in need of increased space to serve our dealers and retail customers to the best of our ability and to continue to set the standard for the industry,” said Dave Eash, vice president of customer service towables and Jayco corporate parts.
The expanded parts warehouse will feature a 10,055 square foot mezzanine as well as 26,018 square feet on the main floor for storing and shipping of parts orders. This addition will bring the entire customer service facility on Jayco’s main campus in Middlebury to 111,000 square feet.
“The increase in space will allow us to cut lead times on parts shipping by allowing us to stock more parts, especially those which are critical to the use of our units,” Eash commented. “In addition, we will be better equipped and more efficient in our parts warehouse, which will increase the number of parts orders we’re able to ship out in any given day. Today’s customers are more demanding and reducing parts lead time is critical. This expansion is one essential element in our commitment to meet customer expectations."
