MIDDLEBURY, Ind. - Jayco, Inc. has rolled out its 2005 line of Jay Flight travel trailers and fifth wheels. The brand features America’s best-selling towable RVs. Jay Flight travel trailers dominated category sales for most of the previous model year, outpacing all other competitors.
“New features for 2005 are designed to add even more appeal to the units,” said Paul Gardner, senior product manager at Jayco. “Jay Flight units are very popular with families new to RVing, or those who are stepping up to conventional trailers from fold-down campers.” Gardner noted the 2005 line includes ten travel trailers and four fifth wheels to meet a wide range of buyer travel and budget needs.
Select Jay Flight models are available with an expandable dinette option that provides the whole family with added comfort at mealtime. Additionally, Jayco’s exclusive StorGalore™ exterior storage compartment option is available on several models for 2005. This large, finished compartment provides nearly 80 cubic feet of unobstructed storage area – more than double the amount of storage space typically found in storage compartments of other travel trailers. The pass-through compartment is accessible via large doors on either side of the trailer.
Three décor schemes, including a new “Paprika” design, bring a bright, inviting touch to interior spaces. Living areas feature valences with wood appliqués on the window treatments. Craftsman touches like beveled T-molding on countertops and dinette tables add fit and finish not normally found in entry-level towables. Wallpaper borders, brass lighting and an accent wall mirror further heighten the homelike feel. For 2005, Jayco upgraded the popular home theater system to a Dolby™ Digital 5.1 unit with recessed ceiling speakers.
Exterior improvements include chrome hubcaps to accent Jay Flight’s distinctive graphics package. Every unit now comes prepped with copper gas line and brass valve to accommodate an optional outside RVQ grill. Active families will enjoy the outside shower that’s now standard on all models. An optional ladder enables easy roof access.
Numerous features are standard on 2005 Jay Flight models that previously were options. These include electric slideouts and sofa slides, bifold interior door, oak interior décor package, six-gallon gas/electric water heater, swivel rockers in selected models, and many more favorites.
