MIDDLEBURY, Ind. – The Jay Feather travel trailer creates a balance between the comforts of home and traveling light. Light enough to be towed by most SUVs, minivans and crossovers, yet expansive enough to fit families of various sizes; the Jay Feather delivers heavy-weight performance in a light-weight package.

The 2011 Jay Feather product line is offered in two series: the Jay Feather Sport and the Jay Feather Select. Each series offers a variety of floorplans with expandable tent space and varying lengths from which to choose.

The newly re-designed Jay Feather Select boasts many interior and exterior changes and upgrades. The outside of the unit displays an aerodynamic front profile and tapered-style skirting around the unit making it easier to tow. A foldable exterior grab handle makes for easier access and exit from the unit. Inside the Jay Feather you will see new Concord Cherry cabinetry, built using Amish craftsmanship, which brings both beauty and functionality to the living space. The Jay Feather comes standard with 78” ceiling heights, cabinetry crafted with screwed-stile construction and TuffShell vacuum-bonded laminated roof and sidewalls.

The Jay Feather Select also offers families room to grow with expandable sleeping areas on most models. The Jay Feather Select Expandable is perfect for families who want the ease of a smaller trailer but need the amenities and interior space of a larger model. The units feature extra headroom in the bunk area and permanently attached bunk-end tents for safety and ease of use. The 2011 construction uses an ultra light steel frame that makes the expandable models 10-15 percent lighter than most conventional travel trailers without sacrificing durability. In addition, the Jay Feather Select offers the Customer Value Package, which includes a Multi-Media Sound System™ with AM/FMCD/DVD stereo with MP3 input jack, 6-gal. gas/electric water heater, bathroom power vent and a Carefree Travel’r 12V electric patio awning.

The compact Jay Feather Sport series is great for weekend getaways with its modern kitchen, bath and sleeping arrangements to accommodate up to six people. Standard equipment on the 2011 Jay Feather Sport includes ABS fender skirts, amber patio lights with inside switch, diamond-plated front panel, electric brakes and TorFlex independent torsion axle rubber ride suspension system. Interior amenities include Concord Cherry cabinetry and doors, pleated night shades, privacy curtains for bunks, queen size bunk mats, and residential furniture designed and made by Jayco.

The Jay Feather Sport also has expandable floorplans, providing added sleeping areas and plenty of room to stretch out, while still easily towable by most standard SUV’s and trucks. The Jay Feather Sport Expandable features standards such as a a 3-burner range with 9,000-BTU SuperBurner and piezo igniter, a high-rise mixing faucet, vinyl flooring throughout and cable support system for bunk ends. The Customer Value Package includes a microwave, electric patio awning, Multi-Media Sound System™ with AM/FM/CD stereo with MP3 input jack and speakers, and a water heater bypass system.
